Challenge
Artwork needed to be the centre of attention, while still giving a clear route to collections, the catalogue and commission enquiries. The site also had to hold a growing body of work without becoming cluttered.
Philip Verhoeven is a visual artist who needed a premium online home for his work — a place where visitors can browse artwork, follow exhibitions and enquire about commissions.

Artwork needed to be the centre of attention, while still giving a clear route to collections, the catalogue and commission enquiries. The site also had to hold a growing body of work without becoming cluttered.
The structure was built around the artwork first: an immersive hero introduction, then dedicated areas for the portfolio, collections, catalogue, exhibitions and commissions. Every layout decision was made to keep images large and the interface quiet.
A custom artist portfolio with an immersive hero section, artwork portfolio, collection and shop area, downloadable catalogue, commission page and an exhibition archive — all fully responsive from phone to desktop.
The website is live at philipverhoeven.dev, where the full portfolio, exhibition archive and commission enquiry route can be viewed.
